The Certified Sustainable Peanut Label

Under guidance from researchers at the National Peanut Research Lab the Peanut Sustainability Partnership established a framework for sustainable peanut production. Since 2016, this framework has informed annual data collection and established a baseline of US peanut production sustainability. In 2021, the Partnership launched a verification process in tangent with USDA AMS to authenticate this data and the sustainability of peanut production, resulting in the Certified Sustainable label.

“We view our role in this space as being a vital link between the farmer and consumer – we feel it is important be involved and support the growth of regenerative agriculture and the benefits it brings to the farm.”

— Blair Hillen, Golden Peanut Company
